Lead the organization’s accounting and finance function, including general ledger, close, financial reporting, and compliance
Supervise and develop a small internal finance team covering billing, A/R, payroll, and related functions
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and strong controls across financial processes
Provide clear and actionable financial reporting to senior leaders and operational partners
Serve as a hands‑on leader while helping elevate processes and best practices over time
Partner with external advisors and support audit, tax, and regulatory needs
Participate in finance systems optimization and future enhancements as the organization evolves
Required Background
CPA required
Experience in professional services environments (law firm experience highly relevant, but not required)
7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
Prior experience in a leadership role such as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager
Strong foundation in financial reporting, controls, and operational accounting
Comfort working in a time‑and‑billing or services‑based business model
Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non‑finance stakeholders
