Manager, Shared Services Accounting

Location: Centreville, VA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a growing organization to identify a Manager, Shared Services Accounting to support its accounting operations on a temp‑to‑perm basis. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can step in quickly, provide leadership within a shared services environment, and convert to a permanent role after the initial engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day shared services accounting operations
• Manage and support accounting staff within AR, AP, and general accounting functions
• Ensure accurate and timely month‑end close activities
• Review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting outputs
• Support process improvements and operational efficiencies within the shared services model
• Partner cross‑functionally with finance and operational stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Prior experience in shared services accounting or a similar centralized accounting environment
• Management or team‑lead experience within accounting operations
• Strong understanding of general ledger, close processes, and internal controls
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Centreville, VA
• Comfortable stepping into a hands‑on, interim role with intent to convert
