Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a mid‑market organization in the DMV area to identify a Payroll Manager for a hybrid role. This position supports a stable payroll environment and works closely with Accounting and HR leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing for a mid‑sized employee population
- Oversee payroll compliance, reconciliations, and reporting
- Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee inquiries
- Partner with Accounting on payroll entries and month‑end close
- Support benefits administration and timekeeping processes
- Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships
Qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience
- Experience with payroll systems outside of Workday (construction or mid‑market ERP a plus)
- Knowledge of multi‑state payroll and compliance
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days on‑site)
