AI/Technology firm focusing on cloud strategy and cybersecurity for commercial, enterprise, and public sector organizations is adding an accounting leader.

$165,000 - $175,000 + 15% annual target bonus

Opportunity Overview

The Director of Finance Operations – Credit to Cash will manage cash management functions including customer credit, billing, cash applications, and collections   Reporting directly to the VP of Finance Operations, this position is an integral part of the Finance Operations team that closely works with Sales, Sales Operations, and Business Operations teams and provides general supervision and support to the Credit, Billing, Cash Applications, and Collections teams. He/she will protect the company’s financial health through accurate accounting, rigorous controls, strategic planning, and optimized cash and treasury operations.

  • Manage all aspects of the billing, credit, cash application, and collections department
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and monitoring to ensure the billing, credit, cash, and collections teams are meeting performance targets and organizational objectives for key results
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing customer accounts and resolving payment issues
  • Drive the organization’s cash, collections, and billing accuracy responsibilities
  • Analyze billing and payment data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for focus and improvement
  • Design, compile, analyze, and provide monthly analytics to leadership and strategic decision making
  • Work cross functionally with other teams such as Accounting, Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, and Business Operations to ensure timely and accurate billing and collections processes
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable law and regulations related to billing and collections
  • Prepare and review documentation for annual audit requests and support month-end accounting close
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures as appropriate

Experience/Credentials
  • Larger company training ($200m+) at minimum
  • BS Degree preferred
  • Experience managing and optimizing ERP systems to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the treasury function
  • 7+ years’ experience within tech, software, AI, growth companies, etc.
  • Five (5) or more years as a manager or team lead managing at least 5-7 AR/Collections staff is required
  • NetSuite system exposure required
  • Effective time management skills, self-motivated, critical attention to detail and deadlines
  • Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Strong management and leadership skills
