A well-capitalized, growth-oriented bank headquartered in the Philadelphia market is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. The bank has experienced strong, consistent organic growth over the past several years and is positioned for significant expansion over the next phase of its strategic plan.

Role Overview

The CFO is a senior executive responsible for the overall financial leadership of the bank, including accounting, financial strategy, liquidity management, regulatory reporting, and balance sheet optimization. The role combines strategic oversight with practical decision-making, particularly as the bank continues to scale.

The CFO will oversee a small, experienced finance team and partner closely with executive leadership on planning, growth initiatives, and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budget preparation, and audit activities
  • Lead liquidity management, interest rate risk, and asset/liability management (ALM)
  • Monitor funding strategies, wholesale funding sources, and capital utilization
  • Partner with third-party providers to produce and review ALCO reporting
  • Prepare and present financial results, forecasts, and analyses to executive leadership and the Board
  • Manage regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with all state and federal banking regulations
  • Guide budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes
  • Develop financial models and analytics to support strategic decision-making
  • Oversee the bank’s investment portfolio
  • Support long-term growth initiatives, including potential expansion, product development, or M&A activity
  • Review contracts, leases, and major financial commitments
  • Maintain strong internal controls, governance, and audit readiness

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
    MBA preferred
  • CPA required
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis
    (significantly more experience expected for senior-level consideration)
  • Advanced knowledge of bank accounting, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and/or Boards of Directors
  • Banking or regulated financial institution background required

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Full-time, on-site role
  • Monday–Friday, standard business hours
  • Executive leadership position based in Philadelphia, PA
