Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst/Program Analyst to support a portfolio of programs with a strong focus on financial modeling, cost analysis, billing, forecasting, and program performance tracking. This role partners closely with Program Management and other cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely billing, and actionable insights that support decision‑making across government‑contracted programs. Key Responsibilities
Support a portfolio of programs by performing detailed financial analysis, cost tracking, and trend analysis
Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and automation of recurring reports
Prepare and manage monthly EACs (Estimate at Completion), variance analyses, and forecasts
Analyze program performance against funding, cost, schedule, and contract requirements
Oversee and support billing activities, including billing approvals, reconciliation, and resolution of discrepancies
Partner with Program Managers to ensure accurate financial data, timely forecasts, and proactive issue identification
Track program costs, labor, funding, and burn rates to ensure compliance with contract and internal requirements
Support internal and external reviews, audits, and ad‑hoc financial analysis as needed
Identify process improvements and efficiencies to enhance financial reporting and automation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
Strong financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Experience working in a government contracting environment
Demonstrated financial modeling expertise, including developing flexible and scalable models
Experience supporting billing and cost analysis in a program‑based environment
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools
Ability to analyze complex financial data and clearly communicate results to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multiple programs or a large program portfolio
Familiarity with EAC methodologies, cost‑plus contracts, and government compliance requirements
Experience automating financial reports or dashboards
Exposure to forecasting tools, ERP systems, or project accounting systems
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
