Payroll Administrator-Costpoint and ADP

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to manage and support end-to-end biweekly payroll operations in a government contracting environment. This role is responsible for accurate payroll processing, labor and cost compliance, and coordination across HR, Accounting, and Program Management. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint (labor processing) and ADP, and thrives in a complex, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and administer biweekly payroll for up to 1,500 active employees, recognizing that not all employees are paid each pay period
  • Review, validate, and process labor transactions in Deltek Costpoint, ensuring alignment with government contracting requirements
  • Ensure accurate payroll feeds and integrations between Costpoint and ADP
  • Audit timekeeping, labor distributions, and payroll data for accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, including government contract labor regulations (e.g., cost accounting standards, audit readiness)
  • Reconcile payroll reports, tax filings, deductions, and benefit-related payroll entries
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and Program Teams to resolve payroll and labor-related issues
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries with a strong focus on confidentiality and customer service
  • Assist with audits (internal and external), including DCAA audits when applicable
  • Maintain payroll documentation, SOPs, and process improvements
  • Support year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and reconciliation
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of payroll administration experience, preferably within a government contracting environment
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint, specifically labor processing and timekeeping
  • ADP payroll experience (Workforce Now or similar ADP platforms)
  • Experience supporting mid-to-large employee populations (1,000+ employees preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, multi-state payroll, and wage & hour regulations
  • High attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality
