A local Owings Mills, MD, family run commercial fencing and railing manufacturing facility is looking for an Account Executive with a strong, proven track record of selling to Commercial Construction operations. This family run company has over 30 years in business and caters to commercial construction and multi-housing projects.

Sales & Estimating | On‑Site + Field Travel | Reports to Ownership

This role blends business development and hands‑on estimating into one high‑impact position. You’ll own the full pre‑construction cycle—from identifying opportunities and building client relationships to pricing work and winning contracts.

You’ll be the primary point of contact for general contractors, developers, and owners, while also preparing detailed bids that get projects awarded.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and manage relationships with GCs, developers, owners, and design teams
  • Identify and pursue commercial and multi‑housing opportunities
  • Lead all pre‑construction communication through bid and award
  • Prepare estimates, takeoffs, and pricing for railings, stairs, fencing, and misc. metals
  • Review drawings, specs, RFIs, and perform site walks as needed
  • Present proposals, negotiate scope, and close work
  • Manage pipeline activity in HubSpot
  • Provide a clean handoff to operations after project award

Requirements

  • 5+ solid years of a proven track record selling to Commercial Construction Projects throughout the MD, DC, VA markets
    • Preference in the Metal fabrication of Fencing/Railing/ or Stairways
  • Ability to travel to the construction site to meet with PMs, General Contractors, and Developers
  • Solid experience with CRMs, HubSpot preferable

Salary

  • Salary will be based on proven experience and the base will range between 70K and 85K
