Controller
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is conducting a search for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the organization’s accounting operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business through effective financial leadership.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting leader who is comfortable owning the full accounting lifecycle, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month‑end close
• Manage and continuously improve the month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Oversee cash management, working capital, and balance sheet integrity
• Coordinate audit preparation and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insight and support business decision‑making

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people leadership
• Strong background in general ledger accounting, close, and financial reporting
• Experience strengthening or standardizing accounting processes and controls
• Hands‑on leadership style with strong attention to detail and accountability
• CPA preferred
