Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Ashburn, VA (100% Onsite Mon–Thurs | Remote Fridays)
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (no flexibility)
Compensation: $85,000 – $129,000 (conversion salary)
Overview
Seeking a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a high-demand, fast-paced hiring environment. This role is ideal for a career recruiter (20+ years experience) who genuinely enjoys recruiting—not someone targeting HR leadership, L&D, or strategic roles.
This is a hands-on, execution-driven role focused on high-volume recruiting, direct sourcing, and closing talent in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own full-cycle recruitment across high-volume requisitions
  • Proactively source and headhunt candidates using multiple channels (LinkedIn, referrals, direct outreach, etc.)
  • Conduct phone screens, candidate assessments, and interview coordination
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and adjust strategies in real-time
  • Drive offer management and closing, including navigating counteroffers and competitive situations
  • Maintain strong candidate pipelines while managing multiple open roles simultaneously
  • Track and manage candidate activity within ATS and ensure accurate reporting
  • Deliver a high-touch, professional candidate and stakeholder experience

What We’re Looking For
  • 20+ years of recruiting experience (agency or high-volume corporate recruiting strongly preferred)
  • Proven success in high-volume, fast-paced hiring environments
  • Strong background in direct sourcing/headhunting (not reliant on inbound applicants)
  • Demonstrated ability to close candidates in highly competitive markets
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and hiring managers simultaneously
  • Comfortable being on the phone—strong communication and influencing skills are critical
  • Experience managing demanding stakeholders with professionalism and urgency
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and passion for recruiting

Work Environment
  • Fully onsite Monday–Thursday (Ashburn, VA) — no exceptions
  • Remote Fridays
