Accounting Systems Specialist

$25-$30/hr, onsite in Charlotte 3-4 days a week, contract to start with potential of TTH

This individual will serve as the bridge between the operational and accounting platforms, investigating variances, identifying root causes of discrepancies, and helping improve the accuracy and efficiency of the accounting process. 

Key Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile customer deposits.
• Verify batch totals and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
• Compare financial data between Zoey and QuickBooks.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between systems.
• Identify trends and recurring issues impacting data accuracy.
• Assist with maintaining the integrity of accounting records.
• Work closely with leadership to improve processes and reporting accuracy.
• Support ongoing accounting operations and system-related initiatives.

Ideal Background

• Strong accounting reconciliation experience.
• Experience working within QuickBooks.
• Ability to analyze data across multiple systems and identify inconsistencies.
• Experience in accounting operations, cash applications, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or financial systems support.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of issues through resolution.
• Prior experience supporting system integrations, ERP/accounting platforms, or financial data validation is highly preferred.
