Investor Relations Analyst

Profitable, growing biotech in Montgomery County is building out its Investor Relations team and needs a sharp, driven team player to partner up with CFO and Communications Team.

He/she will participate in all aspects of supporting Investor Relations activities, including conducting investor-focused analyses, supporting investor messaging, and executing investor events.  Remain up to date on economic, political, regulatory, industry, and stock market outlooks. This individual will also need to have an in-depth understanding of the company’s leaders, strategies, technologies, and financial performance expectations as well as changes in accounting, the life sciences/biotechnology industry, securities laws, and similar subjects.

Role Breakdown:
  • Be the primary point of contact for external Investor Relations firm and day-to-day investor interactions
  • Partner with Corporate Communications, finance and legal teams to manage the quarterly earnings process and conference call logistics.
  • Track and maintain sell side analyst consensus estimates, ratings, & reports and maintain consensus model. Interact with the analyst community to provide relevant data & investor guidance.
  • Work with Finance team and FP&A to build integrated models that compare internal Corporate LROP projects to external analyst & investment community projections.
  • Monitor and distribute peer group sell-side research; follow industry, competitor and customer developments and news flow, including earnings calls and analyst days, and communicate key takeaways to management.
  • Work with external investor relations firm to coordinate and manage bank conference and Non-Deal Road Shows (NDRSs) calendar and Executive Team participation.
  • Develop an IR calendar and budget.
  • Oversee IR service providers and manage exchange relationship
  • Provide and maintain up to date IR website content
Skill Requirements & Preferences:
  • MBA preferred
  • BS in Accounting, Finance or Business-related
  • Ideally 2-5 years of corporate IR experience, biopharma industry experience a plus
  • Strategic thinker who can develop the messaging as our story evolves or in response to external sentiment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional business writing and editing skills.
  • Possess excellent written communication skills, can generate clear, accurate, and compelling investor materials, and can deliver our messages in an engaging manner.
  • Knowledge of SEC and disclosure requirements.

Compensation & Culture:
