Cordia Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Director for a dynamic and rapidly growing company.  As the Accounts Payable Director you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and month-end closings. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, fostering a collaborative team environment, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 15+ accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and vendor inquiries promptly.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable department.
  • Lead the month-end closing process, reconciling accounts payable accounts and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate payment terms, and resolve vendor issues or disputes.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the accounts payable team, implementing training and development programs as needed.
  • Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least [X] years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable best practices, processes, and technology solutions.
