Cordia Resources is seeking an Accounts Payable Director for a dynamic and rapidly growing company. As the Accounts Payable Director you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and month-end closings. You will play a critical role in optimizing processes, fostering a collaborative team environment, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 15+ accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and payment disbursement.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payment discrepancies and vendor inquiries promptly.
Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounts payable department.
Lead the month-end closing process, reconciling accounts payable accounts and preparing reports for senior management.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate payment terms, and resolve vendor issues or disputes.
Continuously monitor and assess the performance of the accounts payable team, implementing training and development programs as needed.
Prepare and present financial reports related to accounts payable to senior leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or CPA preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least [X] years in a leadership or managerial role.
