Cybersecurity Architect
About You:
- You're the go-to expert when it comes to cybersecurity solutions.
- You excel in developing security solution architectures that align with organizational cybersecurity policies, standards, and requirements.
- You're adept at analyzing business requirements and identifying and mitigating security risks effectively.
- Collaborating with system developers and users to design secure systems is second nature to you.
- You're a proactive problem-solver with a passion for mastering your craft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as the cybersecurity solution subject matter expert.
- Develop security solution architectures in compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Collect, evaluate, and validate business requirements.
- Identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with developers and users to design secure systems.
- Document the impact of new system implementations on the current security environment.
- Ensure system and architecture alignment with cybersecurity guidelines.
- Evaluate emerging technologies for security, cost, and usability.
- Define and document security controls.
- Perform security reviews and develop security risk management plans.
- Contribute to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process.
- Translate technical solutions into specifications.
- Provide input on security requirements for procurement documents.
- Propose innovative technologies and procedures to enhance security.
Required Qualifications:
- On-site presence in Washington DC and/or Manassas, VA required two days per week.
- 8-10 years of IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- 3 years as a Cybersecurity Solutions Architect.
- 1-2 years of Information Security Architecture experience in a cloud environment (AWS is a must).
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with security monitoring tools.
- Experience with Splunk, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in cloud services (AWS, Azure, O365) and cloud access security brokers.
- Strong network monitoring tool knowledge.
- Ability to develop and implement security policies and standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience, preferably in architecture or engineering practices.

- A strong motivation to excel in consulting, IT, cybersecurity, and industry best practices.
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.
