Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Accountant to help maintain financial integrity and support the organization's mission. This key role will assist in all aspects of accounting operations including budgeting, general ledger preparation, compliance, financial reporting, cost accounting, and audit readiness. Candidates with exposure to public accounting are preferred.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Manage books and record, consolidation, and financial reporting for construction entity. Complete general ledger ownership for construction entity, including month-end/ quarter-end close, GL integrity, trial balance reconciliation, etc.
Analyze financial data to identify and report on trends and key performance indicators, including analysis of the actual results vs prior year and vs budget.
Works closely with the commercial, construction and operations teams to collaborate on various reporting needs, gather, summarize, and generate relevant financial information.
Understand all major contracts for the construction entity and their implications on accounting and financial reporting.
Support construction level cash activities including contributions, distributions, debt service and operating activities.
Facilitate accounts payable process including purchase order and invoice creation, invoice, expense report and credit card payments, etc.
Facilitate accounts receivable process including invoicing to customers and journal entry booking.
Ensure proper documentation for all purchase orders, invoices, payments, trial balance reconciliation, etc. with appropriate approvals from the Management.
Be an integral part of the company's ERP implementation process.
Management of cost allocations to projects, e.g. payroll allocations.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Experienced and curious senior accountant with at least 4-5 years of experience.
Independent, discrete, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Excellent organization skills, ability to work under tight deadlines, with a positive and can-do attitude.
Experience working at a multinational company preferred.
Experience with integrated ERP solutions preferred.
CPA or equivalent is strongly preferred; bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field
