Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a mission driven law firm who is currently seeking to hire a Financial Analyst in their Washington, D.C. office.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Three (3) years of professional experience as a financial or business analyst.
- Law firm or professional services experience required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI Skills.
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures.
- Understanding of principles and designs of relational databases.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills and fluency in the various Microsoft Office, Google Suite and similar software.
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
- Be detail oriented, team-player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, flexible, exercise sound political judgment, practice discretion, think creatively to solve problems.
- Be adept at prioritizing multiple projects across competing deadlines.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate the preparation, development, and maintenance of the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses (monthly, quarterly, and annually).
- Articulate explanations to budget variances, proactively identify action items and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare cash flow projections on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Assist with year-end cash flow planning.
- Prepare ad-hoc and periodic statistical and metrics reports and develop expert knowledge of the firm’s business intelligence solution to extract financial data upon request.
- Assist with the administration of Financial and Reporting Software Systems.
- Develop and maintain financial models as requested.
- Prepare and/or review adjusting journal entries and work with accounting staff, and budget holders, on resolving GL coding issues.
- Develop and prepare worksheets to evaluate billing rate increases.
- Maintain Financial Dashboard and make updates when required, interface with subject matter consultants.
- Participate in the development and implementation of relevant accounting software and internal reporting enhancements.
- Perform other duties as required.
Work Environment
- This position is a hybrid position and is required to be in the office 3 days a week.
- Position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
- Position requires that the employee be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical Demands
- This position is primarily a sedentary position. However, some duties and responsibilities may require the employee to lift files, open filing cabinets, bend or stand, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, occasionally move about to access office equipment, file cabinets, etc.
- May require employee to carry or lift items weighing up to 10 pounds.
