A growing Private Wealth Management firm based in Reston, VA is seeking a Paraplanner to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity with mentorship, training, and compensation.

If candidate has prior Paraplanner experience, they must be in the process of getting the Series 7
This is a full-time role with five days in office for the first six months then transition to three days in office in their Reston, VA office. Compensation is in the range of $70,000 - $100,000based on experience.

The paraplanner plays a critical role in the firm, assisting in the streamlined operations and helping ensure that our clients have a positive experience. This position will directly support the Financial Advisors in servicing the firm’s High Net Worth and multinational clients.

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, and work experience in a financial planning firm
FINRA Series 7, 66 and VA Life and Health Insurance licenses preferred
Prior experience with financial planning software desired (Naviplan preferred)
Positive attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation
Experience in working with retired and pre-retired populations a plus
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong proof reading and report writing skills a must
Ability to prioritize workflow and tasks
Comfortable working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Duties:
Assist in pre-meeting preparation of forms and reports for client meetings
Prepare paperwork for new clients and account transfers
Process beneficiary and account ownership changes
Communicate with the Broker/Dealer regarding client issues
Develop and maintain written systems to track projects and activities
Prepare Insurance product illustrations
Participate in client meetings and record notes
Execute and track post meeting follow-up
Assist in client related investment and financial planning research
Create investment reports using Morningstar software and other firm provided software
Maintain SPS Advantage model portfolios used in investment management process
Create post meeting summary letters and financial planning deliverables
Prepare financial analysis using the firm’s Financial Planning Software (Naviplan) and other financial calculators
Screen incoming calls and correspondence as needed
Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence as directed, including email and faxes
