Our client, an Energy/Renewable Energy company, is seeking a Senior Accountant with a mixture of public and corporate accounting experience. This is a hybrid role with compensation in the range of $100,000 to $110,000.

Position is open as it is a newly created position due to growth.
Reports into the Controller- very nice demeanor and has lots of Energy/Renewable energy experience.
Accounting staff is currently the CFO-lots of industry experience, Controller, and vacant Senior. They will add more as they grow.
In office to start with flexibility if you need to work from home for contractor visits, sick etc. The hybrid/more flexible nature of the position most likely as they continue to progress, but at the beginning it is important to be in office as it is a complex/exciting business and they are laying down the framework for success in the future/implementing and documenting policies and procedures.
They are right next to a train stop (30 second walk) so very easy to get to / accessible. Office is 9 miles from Philadelphia.
They need someone with strong Excel experience. They use Sage Intacct-nice to have but not necessary.
Public/Corporate mix is highly preferred. They preferred-need a doer, and who has been performing AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries and someone who is inquisitive and wants to learn versus someone who wants to delegate.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, and 3+ years of experience as a staff or public accountant.
Big 4 experience, and/or a CPA preferred.
Sage (or similar accounting software) experience.
Highly proficient with Excel.
Energetic and ability to learn new tasks quickly.
Diligent and able to prioritize a large task load in a fast-paced environment.
Deadline oriented.
Self-Starter, hands-on, with careful attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Renewable/Solar energy experience is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing the accounting for multiple entities, funds, and portfolio of projects, including financial reporting, management of cash flows during construction phase (billing and invoicing customer, paying vendors, etc.), recording related revenues and cost of goods sold, etc.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
Managing monthly journal entries and schedules for multiple entities.
Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures, including consolidation, for multiple entities.
Managing maintenance and updating of our accounting software.
Researching technical accounting literature.
Assisting with creation, refinement, and implementation of accounting policies & procedures.
Helping develop internal processes, metrics, and business decision-making as part of a nimble team.
