Location: Tallahassee Preferred – 3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote
Contract Duration: 1 Year with 2 Option Years
Start Date: January 1, 2025
Pay Rate: $73/hr.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Business Process Consultant with experience in business process mapping to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the FDACS Functional Manager and Contract Manager(s) to prepare and deliver key project deliverables. These include:
- AS IS Business Process and Customer Journey Maps
- Process Improvement Logs
- TO BE Business Processes and Customer Journey Maps
- Gap Analysis (Process-focused and Solution-focused)
- IT Solution Requirements
- Business Process Models (Diagram and Narrative)
- Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD)
- Data Dictionaries and Flow Diagrams
- Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) Plans
- Remediation Implementation Plans
- Cost Benefit Analysis
- User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
- Business Cases
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, working with the Department’s Manager.
- Communicate project information to teams and stakeholders promptly.
- Document meeting notes, highlighting key actions and decisions, and distribute within three business days.
- Proactively address team conflicts and communication issues.
- Review and ensure completeness of deliverables before submission.
- Obtain deliverable approval from the Contract Manager and Stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with various department levels.
- At least 10 years of IT business/industry experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in business analysis for IT projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio for process modeling.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Ability to translate business requirements into use cases/user stories and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Experience:
- Leading meetings with diverse groups, including managers and end users.
- Experience with Joint Application Development (JAD) techniques.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.
- Excellent writing and technical writing skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Experience conducting Cost Benefit Analyses and business process re-engineering.
- Ability to derive business process and data requirements from documentation.
- Skills in translating meeting information into process models/flows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word for data dictionary creation.
- Experience working with IT staff to assess infrastructure requirements.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
