Accounting Manager ($125k-$145k + Equity)

A growing Tech/SaaS startup is actively seeking an Accounting Manager to enhance their financial operations. This dynamic company is focused on cloud-based strategies and SaaS solutions, and recently secured a significant $100 million funding round.

 

Why This Role is Important: You will be joining during a critical phase as the company prepares for a potential IPO or PE investment. You'll report to an experienced Controller and lead a team that includes a Senior Accountant, a Staff Accountant, and an AP Specialist. Your role will involve supporting the Controller in streamlining and managing all accounting processes, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.

In this role you will:

• Serve as the accounting lead to drive the day-to-day accounting functions including G/L, accruals, inventory, and reconciliations.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversee the AR, AP, Fixed Asset, and collections functions.
• Support the financial reporting, budgeting, and forecast processes.
• Take a lead role in updating and improving accounting systems and processes.
• Assisting with interim and year-end financial audits.
• Assist with the organization’s compliance with federal, SALT and international tax and regulatory matters.
• Cross-training in full range of accounting functions and act as back up for those functions as necessary.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Active CPA license is preferred
• 5-8+ years relevant accounting experience required
• 2-4+ years Public Accounting experience preferred
