Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with an outdoor power-equipment company who is seeking a proactive and hands-on Interim Controller to join their team on a 3-4 month contract basis with the potential for contract-to-hire. Our client was recently acquired and requires a skilled Controller to manage and streamline financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough review of accounting records and manage day-to-day accounting operations.
Collaborate with teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Report financials to the parent company.
Develop, improve, and implement accounting workflows and processes.
Work closely with the team, including a strong accountant, an office manager, and an HR representative handling payroll.
Navigate the transition from QuickBooks to Infinity, ensuring smooth system integration.
Provide hands-on support and be directly involved in the details of the work.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Controller role.
Strong systems experience; familiarity with Infinity is a plus but not required.
Experience in sales and distribution is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to create and improve accounting workflows and processes.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week in Upper Marlboro, MD.
