Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a software company with a national presence that is searching for an Interim Controller/Accounting Manager to be a one-person accounting operation.
Role will be a 3-6 month remote role with potential to go permanent, but will be required to go to Texas for a week to kickoff the project in person.
This will be a fractional role, starting with 30 hours per week and scaling down to 15 hours once up to caught up.
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Preparing financial statements
- Month/Quarter/Year-end close for the company
- Consolidated financial reporting to international parent company
- Review of AP and AR
- Catch up / Clean up work for AP, AR, and GL (i.e. AP batches open but not posted)
- Other duties as assigned
Candidate should have the following experience:
- 10+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related function
- Sage 300 experience in the past is required for this role
- Strong Microsoft Excel background
- Ability to partner with non-financial areas to complete required tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- “Can do” attitude to problem-solve with or without supervision
