Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a dealer model contract furniture company who is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to play a pivotal hands-on role in their Jacksonville, FL office. This position will involve overseeing all general accounting functions, analysis, and reporting with the support of two staff members responsible for AP and AR transactions. This is a critical role in our client’s organization, requiring an individual with a strong accounting background to help review their accounting and assist in the effort to modernize their operations.

Title: Interim Controller
Location: On-Site – Jacksonville, FL
Hourly Rate: Market
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct analysis of accounting records and assess the quality of financial statements.
  • Facilitate the migration to NetSuite later this year from our current systems.
  • Provide training and support to new staff members.
  • Implement internal controls and address any necessary clean-up in accounting practices.
  • Deliver quality information to enhance forecasting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with teams to support sales pipeline projections, assist project managers, coordinate with warehouse and inventory management, and more.
  • Support executive efforts to modernize the team and operations.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls.
  • Experience with system migrations, particularly to NetSuite, is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems.
  • Ability to train and develop new staff.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
