Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a strategic data analytics and consulting firm who is seeking seasoned Controller to join their dynamic team based in Washington, DC. As the Controller, you will oversee a team of 4-5 professionals and ensure the seamless financial operations of our clients organization.

Title:  Controller
Location: Washington, DC
Work Environment: 5 days on-site for training/acclimation period then hybrid 3 days on-site with 2 days remote
Salary Range: $165,000 - $175,000 base + 20% bonus
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of 4-5 finance professionals.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Work closely with partners for reporting and results analysis.
• Collaborate with the company President on traditional compliance and reporting of actuals.
• Support our CPA firm during financial reviews.
• Conduct thorough reviews of payroll processes.
• Produce clean financial statements and manage general ledger upkeep.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Controller role.
• Strong proficiency with Deltek Vision or other Deltek platforms preferred, and/or strong ERP savviness.
• Experience in a multi-entity professional services environment is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated success in managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong communication skills, capable of working with senior leadership.

• Support CPA firm during financial reviews.
• Payroll review and management.
