Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a large, respected professional services firm based in Virginia Beach that is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist with a background in purchase orders and 3-way matching to join their team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis.

Title: AP Specialist
Location: On-Site – Virginia Beach, VA
Hourly Rate: Up to $28.00/hour
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Requirements: Purchase Orders, 3-Way Matching

Candidate will be responsible for:

• Full cycle accounts payable processing (matching, batching, coding, check run)
• High volume AP – 200+ invoices
• Working with purchase orders
• Receiving approvals from managers and budgets
• Processing invoices
• Working with vendors to correct issues

Candidate should have the following background:

• 3+ years of experience processing Accounts Payable, ideally with a $250 million+ revenue company
• Experience processing a high volume of 200+ invoices
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Netsuite, etc.)
• Strong Excel experience (data entry, formulas, etc.)
• Ability to take direction from leadership and apply strategy to completing tasks
• “Can do” attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to start work within the next 2 weeks
