Interim Tax Manager
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a large, U.S.-based firm who is seeking an Interim Tax Manager to join their team on a contract basis.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role supporting the tax function during a short-term coverage period. The ideal candidate is a Tax Manager–level professional with strong U.S. corporate tax experience who can step in with minimal ramp-up and work onsite full-time.
Role Details
- Type: Interim / Contract
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Work Arrangement: Onsite (five days per week) - Arlington, VA
- Location: Onsite office environment (no remote option)
- Duration: Approximately 2–3 months
Key Responsibilities
- Support U.S. corporate tax compliance and reporting activities
- Prepare and manage multi-state estimated tax payments
- Assist with quarterly tax provision work
- Participate in R&D credit processes, including technical documentation and collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Review third-party prepared tax work and ensure accuracy
- Provide limited support across additional tax areas as needed
Qualifications
- Tax Manager–level experience (hands-on, execution-focused)
- Strong foundation in U.S. corporate tax
- Ability to work independently with minimal training
- Comfortable working onsite five days per week
- Available to commit to a full-time (40 hours/week) contract engagement
Preferred (Not Required)
- Exposure to international tax matters (e.g., transfer pricing, VAT)
- Experience in a large company environment
- Technology or high-growth industry background
- Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP systems
