Material Planner II

The Material Planner II will be responsible for developing and maintaining material requirements planning methods to ensure all program requirements are satisfied. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in logistics, material planning, production planning, or procurement, and a Bachelor's degree in Operation Mgt., Logistics, Planning, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain material requirements planning methods to ensure all program requirements are satisfied.
- Coordinate with other material planners' team to ensure master schedule tasks are updated and completed.
- Provide guidance to program teams to achieve aggressive timelines regarding various challenges.
- Forecast material needs across business unit and collaborate with internal and external parties to resolve various conflicts between cost, schedule, and quality.
- Ensure resource requirements are identified and maintained to support program needs.
- Evaluate, assess, and present decisions to mitigate supply chain risks impacting program cost, schedule, and/or quality or product to stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align pull in/push outs with master schedules.
- Work with complex data and models to derive priority requirements and solve potential conflicts with minimal assistance.
- Consistently populate accurate and vetted data to various tracking worksheets and software (i.e., ERP, Excel).
- Identify, evaluate, and implement continuous improvement strategies within the material planning team.
- Provide data, as requested, to support contract proposal efforts.
- Leverage working relationships across departments to achieve goals, daily.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Operation Mgt., Logistics, Planning, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience in logistics, material planning, production planning, or procurement (may be in combination with education and professional experience).
- Ability to excel in a team-based environment, in both a supporting and leading capacity.
- Ability to maintain situational awareness among technical experts.
- Ability to apply various processes and policies across multiple use case scenarios.
- Manage multiple tasks and adapt to competing needs; able to determine and apply prioritization effectively.
- Inductive and Deductive Reasoning skills to navigate various supply chain challenges.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to parse extraneous information.
- Experience working with an ERP/MRP system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (outlook, excel, word).
