We are seeking a Human Resource/Benefits Administrator to provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager. The HR/Benefits Administrator will be responsible for acting as a liaison between the HR department and employees, providing administrative support to the HR team, and ensuring compliance with Federal reporting requirements. They will also be responsible for updating employee handbooks, policies, and standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition Manager by providing administrative support
- Acts as a liaison between the HR department and employees and ensures professional and timely responses to inquiries
- Sends new hire welcome letter with links to onboarding documents and validates documents are compliant with Federal reporting requirements
- Works with Human Capital management (HCM) technology support vendor to enter ticket requests for updates or changes in features and functionality, track, and close help tickets
- Runs and analyzes data in HR reports such as hiring, transfers, terminations, change in job classifications, merit increase dates, as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal leave
- Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, and records
- Schedules and tracks applicant and contractor background checks
- Provides support during benefit open enrollment and performance merit processing
- Provides logistical support for training sessions, company meetings, and company supported charitable events
- Updates employee handbook, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Support Payroll Manager (as needed)
Qualifications:
- Human Resources/Benefits knowledge and experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented and extremely organized
- Proficiency in administrative duties such as communications, data entry, and record keeping
- Enthusiasm for working within a team environment
- Tact and professionalism when it comes to handling confidential information and addressing employee concerns
- Bachelor’s degree and/or work equivalent
- 3 years of HR administrative support experience
- Payroll administration experience a plus
- Proficiency with Human Capital Management (HCM) technology and Microsoft suite, especially Excel spreadsheet
- Due to US Federal government requirements, must be a US citizen
The HR/Benefits Administrator will work in-person in Reston, VA for approximately 2/3 days per week and hybrid for the remaining days. The HR/Benefits Administrator will report to the Director of Human Resources and receive support from the HR team.
