Interim Controller-Construction

Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead all accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role requires hands-on expertise in Sage 300 and a strong background in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
           Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and budgeting.
           Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
           Monitor cash flow, manage project costing, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
           Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
           Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of construction projects.
           Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.
           Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications:
           Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
           Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
           Proficiency in Sage 300 (required).
           Strong understanding of construction project accounting, including WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and job costing.
           Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
           Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
