Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead all accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role requires hands-on expertise in Sage 300 and a strong background in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and budgeting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Monitor cash flow, manage project costing, and provide financial insights to support decision-making.
• Coordinate and execute month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of construction projects.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure process efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Sage 300 (required).
• Strong understanding of construction project accounting, including WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and job costing.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
