Cordia Resources is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Grants Accountant. This role is vital in ensuring the effective financial management of grants, including budgeting, expense tracking, proposal support, compliance, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles, grant management processes, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Budget Management:
• Develop, monitor, and maintain grant budgets in collaboration with program teams.
• Provide financial forecasts and analyze budget variances to ensure proper allocation of resources.
Expense Management:
• Review and reconcile grant-related expenses to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved budgets.
• Process and track expenditures, ensuring compliance with grant terms and organizational policies.
Proposal Support:
• Assist in preparing grant proposals by developing budget templates and providing financial data.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure proposals align with financial and compliance requirements.
Grant Reporting:
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to grantors, adhering to specified timelines.
• Maintain detailed documentation to support grant audits and reporting requirements.
Compliance:
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and grantor regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance (if applicable).
• Monitor grant activity for compliance with funding terms and conditions.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on grants or nonprofit financial management.
• Proficiency in grant accounting systems and tools, Sage Intacct a plus
• Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
