Cordia Resources is seeking a Collections Specialist that will be supporting a government contracting client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections within the government contracting industry and be skilled at maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of payments.
• Collaborate closely with the Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure efficient processes.
• Monitor and maintain records of outstanding accounts and payment statuses.
• Communicate professionally with clients to address billing inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Prepare and present collection reports to management.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in collections, specifically within the government contracting industry.
• Strong understanding of government contracting billing practices, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred:
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
