Collections Specialist-Government Contracting

Cordia Resources is seeking a Collections Specialist that will be supporting a government contracting client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in collections within the government contracting industry and be skilled at maintaining positive client relationships while ensuring timely payments.

Key Responsibilities:
           Manage and execute collection activities, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of payments.
           Collaborate closely with the Billing, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure efficient processes.
           Monitor and maintain records of outstanding accounts and payment statuses.
           Communicate professionally with clients to address billing inquiries and resolve payment issues.
           Prepare and present collection reports to management.
           Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:
           Required:
           Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in collections, specifically within the government contracting industry.
           Strong understanding of government contracting billing practices, including FAR/DFARS compliance.
           Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
           Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
           Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
           Preferred:
           Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
