Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Collection Specialist with hands-on experience in Deltek Costpoint to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong relationships with clients. This role is critical to optimizing cash flow and minimizing outstanding receivables.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Management: Proactively manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve past-due accounts.
Costpoint Utilization: Utilize Deltek Costpoint for invoicing, payment application, account reconciliation, and reporting.
Collections Activities: Perform regular follow-ups via email, phone, and written communication to secure payments from customers.
Dispute Resolution: Collaborate with internal departments and customers to resolve billing discrepancies or disputes efficiently.
Reporting: Prepare and analyze aging reports, collection forecasts, and other relevant financial data. Provide weekly updates to management regarding collection activities and status.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of communication, payment agreements, and account statuses in Costpoint.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable regulations in all collection activities.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the collections process and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of  3 years of experience in accounts receivable or collections, preferably in a government contracting environment.
Strong proficiency in Deltek Costpoint is required. Similar software experience will be considered.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
