Title: Accounting Manager
Location: On-Site – Rockville, MD
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000/year

The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily accounting operations and collaborate closely with our CFO and Accounting Controller.
• Oversee and review key financial components, including Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Financial Statements, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable.
• Utilize Microsoft Business Central (cloud-based version of Microsoft Navision) to its full potential, facilitating the transition to a paperless environment, implementing ACH payments, and automating data entry.
• Engage in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions of commercial real estate, integrating new properties into our portfolio.
• Work closely with the next generation of family ownership, serving as a trusted financial advisor to foster strong relationships.
• Provide insights to upper management for strategic decision-making in investment, leasing, purchasing, and sales within the commercial real estate sector.

Qualifications:

• 4-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate or a related field, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Proactive, detail-oriented self-starter with excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or equivalent accounting software is preferred.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other PC applications.
