Senior Accountant-Reconciliations
Rockville, MDCordia Resources is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support a key project focused on cleaning up a backlog of reconciliations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reconciliations, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, and reconcile financial accounts to clear outstanding discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve reconciliation issues, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary documentation and support.
• Assist in improving reconciliation processes to prevent future backlogs.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and industry regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes as needed.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a project-driven role.
