Cordia Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will support the accurate and timely processing of payroll, respond to employee inquiries, and handle garnishment processing. The ideal candidate has strong payroll knowledge and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance. Experience with Workday is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Process bi-weekly or monthly payrolls accurately and on schedule
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Address employee questions related to payroll, deductions, taxes, and time reporting
• Manage and process wage garnishments, levies, and other payroll-related deductions
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Maintain payroll records and prepare reports as needed
• Support audits and assist with payroll system updates and testing
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of payroll experience in a high-volume environment
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance
• Experience with payroll systems; Workday experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
