Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a premier home healthcare services firm who is seeking a skilled Interim Controller to assist a client with immediate accounting needs. This role is crucial in preparing the company for a significant transaction by bringing the accounting books and operations up to standard.

Title: Interim Controller
Location: Remote
Hourly Rate: Market
Job Type: Contract (3-4 months)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and clean up cash basis books across multiple entities to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Transition accounting to an accrual basis.
  • Establish policies for credit card usage and expense reimbursements.
  • Develop and implement basic internal controls.
  • Set up effective procedures for understanding and tracking receivables.
  • Review reconciliation processes of form 835s (electronic remittance advice) to bank accounts.
  • Assist in setting up consolidation spreadsheets and processes.
  • Provide support through an upcoming transaction expected in the summer.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Interim Controller, adept at working in small, challenging environments and performing clean-ups.
  • Healthcare experience is beneficial but not required, especially familiarity with CPT codes and medical billing processes.
  • Strong background in establishing policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks.
  • Ability to work remotely.
