Role Overview
As the VP of Business Operations and Administration, you will have a strong finance background and be a pivotal member of the executive team, blending strategic vision with hands-on execution. Your role will involve cross-functional support working on the company’s core business processes across business operations, finance, sales, contracts, and general administration - laying the foundation for sustainable growth. You will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, collaborating across all functions and helping their team move from ambitious vision to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Finance
Ownership of financial planning processes and financial model.
Leader in pricing strategy and metrics optimization
Support investor relations including preparation and presenting to the board, supporting fundraising, and due diligence.
Liaise with finance & accounting teams to ensure standard finance and accounting processes are maintained.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and spend management.
Work closely with the Executive Team to ensure strong cash flow, capital discipline, and investor communications.
Business Operations
Partner with executive team on strategic initiatives, reporting, and managing go to market KPIs.
Enhance and maintain critical KPIs using dashboards and develop reporting systems.
Design and optimize company-wide operational processes.
Identify bottlenecks and pain points and solutions for high growth startups.
Administration
Develop and optimize administrative systems to support rapid team expansion, including facilities, tools, policies, and vendor management.
Manage contracts, insurance, and risk policies appropriate for an early-stage tech company. Coordinate reviews with external stakeholders as appropriate (Legal, Compliance, etc.).
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, or relevant field; MBA or similar experience in high-growth startups strongly preferred.
10+ years of experience in business operations, finance, or general management roles; startup or Series A–B company experience highly valued.
Proven success in building and scaling operational functions in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to forge cross-functional relationships.
Data-driven mindset, with high comfort using operational and financial metrics to make decisions.
Experience working with founders/executive teams and investors is a plus.
Passion for innovation, adaptability, and a desire to help build from the ground up.
