About the Role:

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is seeking a skilled Databricks Contractor to join our team and contribute to the development and optimization of our client’s data analytics platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and cloud-based data solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.

Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.

Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data processing jobs and queries.

Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and solutions.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to data processing and analytics.

Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience working with Databricks and Apache Spark.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Certifications: Databricks certification or relevant cloud certifications.

Experience: Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and big data technologies.

Tools: Familiarity with tools like Airflow, Kafka, and other data engineering tools.

Geography: This role will be a contract role on a remote basis.
