Title: Interim Controller
Location: Hybrid - Washington, DC
Industry: Construction/Real Estate/Development
Compensation: Competitive market rate
Job Type: Contract (3+ months)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take charge of the month-end close process, including closing the books, preparing and posting journal entries, reconciling GL accounts, and preparing financial statements.
  • This is a hands-on role, but you will lead and manage a team of two.
  • Provide comprehensive financial oversight and ensure the smooth operation of all financial processes.
  • Utilize Sage 300 software (highly preferred) and ProCore for efficient financial management and reporting.
  • Maintain construction cost management and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in the Construction/Real Estate/Development industry is essential.
  • Strong background in construction cost management.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 software is highly preferred; familiarity with ProCor is advantageous.
  • Ability to adopt a hands-on approach in managing financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of overall financial perspectives and processes.
