Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Upper Marlboro, MD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and executing payroll operations efficiently and accurately. This position requires someone who is meticulous, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure the integrity and confidentiality of financial and employee information.
  • Calculate and process deductions, benefits, and other adjustments to payroll.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as required by management.
  • Address payroll inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (experience with [specific software] is a plus).
