Job Title: Contract Accounting Manager / Controller
Location: Louisville (Hybrid – 3–4 days/week in office)
Pay Rate: $50–$55 per hour
Duration: 2–3 months

About the Opportunity
Our client, a rapidly growing engineering firm, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager/Controller-level consultant to provide immediate support to the CFO during a 2–3 month transition. This role requires someone with strong technical accounting skills who can manage the close process independently and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the month-end close process
• Record journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Perform cash and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis to support leadership
• Collaborate with the CFO, who is focusing on other operational priorities

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience managing and closing the books in prior roles
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
• Deltek Vision experience strongly preferred, but not required
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
