Controller
Position Overview:
A dynamic and growth-oriented organization is seeking a highly skilled Controller to lead its financial operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in public accounting or top-tier consulting firms who are looking to transition into a strategic leadership position. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial performance, regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and strategic alignment.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including allocation methodologies and general accounting activities.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, highlighting budget vs. actual performance and presenting insights to senior leadership.
- Develop and maintain quarterly budget models and annual forecasts, including variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and reporting standards, including Form PF and AIFMD.
- Conduct investor capital roll forward analytics and support performance reporting.
- Collaborate with internal departments and third-party administrators to streamline reporting and data integrity.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial data.
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
- Experience with YARDI or similar financial systems preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in accounting and financial operations.
- Background in public accounting or experience with Big 4/top-tier consulting firms strongly preferred
