Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with an award-winning AI software strategy firm who is seeking a skilled and experienced Sr SEC and Financial Reporting Manager to join a dynamic finance team on a 3-4 month contract basis. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with SEC regulations and will involve collaboration with various departments to prepare and review SEC filings and disclosures.
Title: Interim Sr. SEC and Financial Reporting Manager Location: Tysons Corner, VA (4 days on-site) Hourly Rate: $80.00 - $90.00/hour Job Type: Contract (3-4 months)
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review SEC filings, including 8Ks, Q3 10Q, 2025 10-K, and Proxy statement filings.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards, including GAAP and SEC guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Provide guidance and support on complex technical accounting and reporting issues.
Support accounting and reporting for share-based compensation, earnings per share, segment reporting, debt and equity transactions, crypto assets, non-GAAP reporting, lease accounting, and ESG, amongst other topics.
Coordinate and partner with various internal groups (Accounting, HR, Legal, FP&A, Marketing, IT) and external groups (auditors, consultants/advisors) to facilitate SEC filings and technical accounting issues.
Monitor and ensure adherence to internal controls over financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements and regulations.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in financial reporting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
