Senior Accountant – GL Focus with Payroll Support

Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a well-established organization in Tysons, VA seeking a Senior Accountant for a 3-month project. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with deep experience in general ledger (GL) accounting and the flexibility to support payroll processing.

🔍 What You’ll Do:

• Lead GL accounting functions (approx. 70% of the role), including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Support payroll processing (approx. 30%), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvements.

✅ What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on GL work.
• Experience with payroll systems (ADP or similar preferred).
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
