Accounting Manager-Costpoint

Cordia Resources is seeking an Accounting Manager for a Department of Defense (DoD) government contractor.  We need an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee full-cycle general ledger accounting and ensure compliance with government contracting standards. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Costpoint and a proven track record in the government contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage full-cycle general ledger accounting, including month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other government regulations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements, including Costpoint optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in the government contracting industry.
  • Strong Costpoint experience required; Costpoint implementation experience a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of FAR, DFARS, CAS, and GAAP compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
