Financial Analyst (FP&A) – Hybrid | Washington, DC (Dupont Circle)
A privately owned, fast‑growing AI and data analytics organization—serving healthcare, pharma/clinical trials, government, and academic clients—is seeking a Financial Analyst (FP&A) to support continued expansion. The company is scaling quickly (currently ~$10M, projected ~$15M by year‑end) and is adding staff to strengthen its finance function.
About the Role
The Financial Analyst will serve as the bridge between an overseas outsourced accounting team and the local CFO, supporting financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Support FP&A activities: forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and strategic insights.
- Maintain and enhance financial models used for planning and decision-making.
- Analyze financial trends, KPIs, and operational drivers.
- Create management-level reporting and dashboards.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide financial recommendations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance reporting accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com
- Exposure to AI, healthcare, or tech environments
- Project-based accounting or data analytics experience
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: In-office Tuesdays and Thursdays in Dupont Circle; remote on remaining days
