$80,000 - $90,000 base + 25% target bonus!

This fantastic opportunity is the second hire in the Finance/Accounting division to assist the CFO, and now is looking for an energetic, organized and detail-focused person to assist in taking the finance, accounting and compliance operations to the next step required for the anticipated growth of the firm.  The position will work closely with the CFO on daily and monthly activities as well as select projects.  The position could also offer opportunities to assist the investment professionals if capacity exists. 
An ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years of related experience.  CPA or CPA track required.  Strong corporate accounting or public accounting desired.
Job Description & Duties:
  • Prepare financial statements for legacy funds, investor capital account statements, supporting schedules and assist with annual audits
  • Review bank statements and prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Assist in finance and marketing functions of the firm - investor communications, capital calls and distributions
  • Assist in the management company accounting and company billing and payables
  • Communicate with finance and operations team members in addition to investment associates
  • Assist in quarterly portfolio company valuation and reporting process
  • Lead the maintenance and processing of tax notices and simple filings (1099s)
  • Process and manage accounts payable invoices and operations
  • Maintain an effective control environment
  • Handle other ad-hoc requests - investor requests, audit confirmations and miscellaneous projects that arise. 
Key Skills & Atttributes:
  • Previous accounting experience

  • Works well under pressure and responds to deadlines with urgency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Four-year college degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA or CPA track
  • Competitive GPA
