Our client is a rapid-growth, full-service top-35 advisory, assurance, tax, outsourcing, talent solutions and private client service firm, with 10 offices on the East Coast. Across practices, they bring together proven expertise, deep understanding and strategic foresight for industries including Manufacturing and Distribution; Non-Profit and Education; Professional Services; Real Estate and Construction; Retail, Franchise and Hospitality; and Technology and Blockchain. This position is 100% remote and has a salary up to $105k depending on experience.
Position responsibilities:
● Develop and cultivate relationships with Founders and CEOs in your book of clients
● Understand clients business model and accounting deliverables to better anticipate their
ever changing needs
● Manage accounting support team responsible for bookkeeping processes and review
financials and provide analysis on monthly variances and trends
● Deliver monthly consolidated financial statements while working closely with client’s
finance team
● Identify and monitor key metrics to discuss with clients
● Facilitate conversations across teams to support the client’s growing needs
● Monitor, track and prepare schedules for tax filings
● As needed, participate in compliance, due diligence or ad hoc projects
Qualifications Needed:
● 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably with growth stage or mid market
companies
● An undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
● CPA certification and strong knowledge of US GAAP a plus
● Firm understanding of SaaS or Tech companies and how they operate
● Experience preparing financial statements, delivering ongoing and month-end close
work and responding to ever changing client needs
● Strong knowledge of deferred revenue recognition, ASC 606 and 842, revenue models
and consolidations, and equity and stock based compensation transactions
● Hands on experience with General Ledger software such as Xero, QBO and NetSuite as
well as technology tools such as Bill.com, Expensify, Carta, Jirav and Gusto
● Microsoft Office knowledge with a strong emphasis on Excel
