Sr. Financial Analyst Pittsburgh, PA 90K to 110K plus bonus
Our client, a growing industrial manufacturing company in the Pittsburgh PA area, is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team and support one of their divisional product lines that has a portfolio value of $600MM. The position reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain timely, useful financial charts and reports to support analysis and decision making
Evaluate and compare procurement, labor, and production costs across operational facilities
Analyze logistics costs and analyze monthly trends
Prepare, analyze, and explain trends in sales, product margins, and expenses
Prepare and analyze special ad hoc financial reporting requests to meet business segment needs
Coordinate, lead, and participate in the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasting processes
Perform various financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
Identify improvements, make recommendations, and promote new ideas
Communicate effectively by listening, writing, and speaking clearly and accurately to keep the team and management informed
Communicate sensitive, complex, or difficult information using simple terms and discretion
Question and challenge status quo to drive efficiencies and identify opportunities to enhance profitability
Carry out routine duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision
Make decisions and establish work priorities on essential procedure-oriented operations
Work non-standard hours during peak periods
Some travel required (10 percent or less)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline
3-7 years of experience with a public firm or private industrial company; manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley internal accounting control procedures and processes
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), report writing applications, data extraction/consolidation experience, and prior exposure to an ERP system
Inventory and manufacturing cost accounting knowledge preferred
Detailed-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes
Must possess the ability to work independently and be a self-starter
Must be willing to help coworkers during absences and high-volume
