Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to join our finance team. This position plays a critical role in managing and improving financial processes, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and providing key insights to support decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, a proven ability to manage complex reconciliations, and expertise in financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee complex bank and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Maintain and improve reconciliation processes for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Prepare, review, and post journal entries in compliance with accounting principles.

  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all entries.

  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Manage revenue recognition processes in accordance with applicable standards.

  • Reconcile revenue accounts and ensure accurate reporting of revenue streams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve revenue accounting workflows.

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

  • Provide insights and analysis to management for informed decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard assets and enhance the reliability of financial reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a leadership role within accounting or finance.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).

  • Prior experience in financial audits and/or public accounting is a plus.
